Murmurings from the Match Room

Murmurings from the Matchroom
Saturday 14 October 2017

An excellent field of 72 (54 men, 18 women) were greeted by fine, sunny conditions, a most welcome change following the dreadful weather of last weekend, to contest the Top of the South Charity Classic. This annual event raises funds for the Nelson Cancer Society and the Jack Inglis Friendship Hospital and is most capably organised by Jack who gets great support from many fantastic sponsors. The result being that all participants go home with a prize of some description.

The major winners on the day were:

Best Gross: James Campion 78 on C/B
Mens Best Net: Andrew Tasker 66
Ladies Best Net: Grace Latimer 71

Spring Championship Cup Best Net: Andrew Tasker

Mens Division One
Best Gross: Kevin Armstrong 79
Best Net: Doug Anderson 68

Mens Division Two
Best Gross: Bill Agnew 91 on C/B
Best Net: Kevin Beach 67 on C/B

Ladies
Best Gross: Kerry McConchie 85
Best Net: Jan Overall 72 on C/B

Twos were struck by Jane Adams, James Campion (got two, but sorry no jackpot), Andrew Chew (new member) Brad Heal, Heath Sherrock, Rob Bruinsma and Allan Hamilton.
